The Web Design Process should be simple and straight forward. Knowing what goes into designing a website will help ease your mind. Being Prepared is key.
The Steps below outline most projects.
STEP 1
Research Your Competition - Before you contact me, take a quick look at your competitors' sites. This will help you with selecting the type of site you would like for your business and will also give you an idea of basic expectations, so you can start preparing your content.
STEP 2
Book an Appointment - I'll meet with you to determine your needs and goals. Do you want a basic website to establish a web presence? Is your goal to provide information of your products and services? Do you need to Increase sales or Improve customer service?
Know your target market. Who is interested in your products/services? Creating a website geared towards your target market should be strongly considered.
STEP 3
During the Consultation - You will choose from a selection of templates or we will determine overall structure of website. We will discuss SEO and domain names for your website. I will explain to you what is required on your part: content and pictures.
If you do not have any images/photos to add to your website, we will discuss possible options.
STEP 4
Receive Quote - You will receive an invoice outlining the overall web design project which was discussed during the consultaion.
Once Approved, An Initial deposit of 50% for total amount is required.
STEP 5
Concept Designs - I will create 2 different concept designs for your website which will be formatted as a jpeg picture only. This will be transformed into your web site once everything has been approved.
STEP 6
Design Programming - Everything will be converted into Code. I will need any and all content and/or pictures which you want to incorporate into the design. Once your web site has been converted to code, any changes to the design will be an additional cost.
Final Review and Payment - Be sure that all your goals have been accomplished and the images and content is accurate.
Once Approved, Final debugging is performed to ensure your website behaves correctly in all major browsers.
Once Final Payment is received, your Website is launched and you are live!
